About the role

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for positive guest interactions by welcoming guests, handling transactions in a friendly and efficient manner, and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant facility. Essential Job Function - Responsible for following designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, to include housekeeping functions for restaurant and restroom areas - Engage with guests, offering assistance as needed to ensure their needs are met - Utilize a point of sale (POS) system to accurately charge guests, apply discounts - Alert Restaurant Manager to discrepancies with pricing or other guest concerns/comments - Clean and clear tables efficiently, pre-bussing items at busy times to be able to turn tables quickly - Ensure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stock - Move tables, chairs, bus stations to facilitate housekeeping and snow removal - Maintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling - Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand - Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Prior guest service experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required
  • Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter

  • Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to continually lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
  • This position, in certain locations, will require an employee to ski or snowboard
