Community Engagement Worker

About the role

As a Community Engagement Worker with Wellways, you'll help ensure the Dubbo MMHC is community-driven, inclusive and responsive to local needs. Your work will strengthen wellbeing, build partnerships and create opportunities for individuals, families and communities to connect and thrive. In this role, you will: Empower communities to support one another in maintaining social and emotional wellbeing Establish referral pathways with health, social and community services Facilitate initiatives that promote inclusion and build capacity for stronger, healthier communities Ensure community voice and needs are at the centre of MMHC services

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Social Science/Community Development (or relevant experience)
• Understanding of community development principles and mental health recovery
• Experience working in human services, community development, or related sectors
• Skills in partnership-building, social inclusion and person-centred practice
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
• Required Compliance
• Right to work within Australia
• 100 points of identification
• Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children's Check (Employee)
