Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time order fulfillment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Supervise production staff, warehouse personnel, and supervisors to achieve production targets.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Quality Assurance departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Manage production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are carried out for machinery and equipment.
• Investigate operational issues, customer complaints, and quality incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare operational reports, production statistics, KPIs, and management reports.
• Lead staff training, performance evaluations, and workforce development.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Job Requirements
• Education
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in food manufacturing operations.
• At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience managing production teams in a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
• Working Conditions
• Based at the company's manufacturing facility in Tuas.
• 5.5-day work week (or according to company operational requirements).
• May be required to work weekends, public holidays, or extended hours during peak production periods.
• Requires frequent movement within production, warehouse, and cold storage areas.
