The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Engineering Services - Specifications team. Under the supervision of the Director, the successful candidate will evaluate the appropriate and most cost-effective foundation support system, and the bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundations. Other key responsibilities include performing geotechnical studies/projects in subsurface investigations; soil/foundation engineering; pile analysis and design; retaining walls; bridge structures; settlement analysis; lateral earth pressures; and slope stability. Additionally, the Geotechnical Engineer will perform forensic engineering; site investigations; write reports; and provide geotechnical engineering support during construction. Please note: All candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.).
