Responsibilities
- Network Design & Implementation
- Implement and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud networking solutions
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network devices

- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities
- Ensure compliance with organisational security policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor security logs and investigate network-related security incidents
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues
- Provide support for network-related incidents and service requests
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive improvements
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity teams
- Network Optimisation
- Analyse network performance metrics and recommend improvements
- Optimise bandwidth usage and Quality of Service (QoS) policies
- Support network upgrades, expansion projects, and capacity planning
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, inventories, and operational documentation
- Document configurations, procedures, and implemented changes
- Prepare periodic performance, incident, and compliance reports
- Update operational runbooks and knowledge base articles
Requirements
- Education & Certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, NSE, or equivalent will be advantageous
- Technical Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support
- Hands-on experience with networking technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN, and VLANs
- Experience with enterprise network and security devices such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, or equivalent
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds or eG Enterprise
- Knowledge of firewall administration, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and cybersecurity best practices
- Exposure to cloud and virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Nutanix is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
