AI Application Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Develop agent-based and workflow-driven solutions with modern AI orchestration tools, across both low-code and code-first approaches
• Design and develop SDKs, reusable frameworks, and internal toolkits that enable teams to rapidly build and deploy agentic AI solutions
• Use and extend open-source AI tooling such as LibreChat, LiteLLM, browser-based automation tools, and related components
• Build and customise the frontend interfaces of AI-powered tools and platforms, ensuring they are intuitive and maintainable
• Build, integrate, and maintain MCP Servers and related interfaces that enable AI systems and agents to interact safely and effectively with business capabilities and internal tools
• Contribute to application development using modern programming languages such as Java, Python and TypeScript

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant software engineering experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field
• A Master's degree in one of those areas is preferred
• Solid hands-on programming ability in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with agent orchestration and AI workflow tooling, e.g. Google Agentic Development Kit (ADK), OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, or PydanticAI
• Interest in and exposure to open-source AI tooling and modern LLM ecosystems
• Comfortable with modern DevOps/MLOps practices as they relate to AI applications

This role is a strong fit for a flexible engineer who views Artificial Intelligence as a tool, not a replacement, and who is capable of learning in a rapidly changing environment.
