High Impact Public Sector Work Cutting Edge Tech Stack About Our Client Technology firm wokring on mission critical projects, focusing on developing software capaibilities to strengthen homland defense Job Description Business Analysis & Requirements Management Engage stakeholders to elicit, assess, and document both functional and non-functional requirements. Convert business needs into user stories, process diagrams, and detailed specifications to support development and testing activities. Process Mapping & Improvement Capture current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") processes using established modeling frameworks such as BPMN. Identify gaps and inefficiencies, recommend enhancements, and support initiatives focused on automation and system optimisation. Stakeholder Engagement Organise and facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthrough sessions with business users and government stakeholders. Drive alignment across teams by managing discussions on priorities, requirements, and expectations. Project Support Support Product Managers and Product Owners in managing project scope, timelines, and key documentation. Contribute to agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and preparation for user acceptance testing (UAT). Documentation & Communication Produce clear and comprehensive documentation such as business requirements, user stories, use cases, and presentations. Ensure effective communication between business and technical stakeholders to maintain alignment and clarity. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Managers, Business Architects, Solution Architects, and UX Designers to deliver solutions that are practical, user-focused, and aligned with strategic goals. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally with exposure to government or large-scale enterprise environments. Proven ability to document and model business processes and system requirements effectively. Strong communication and facilitation skills, with a collaborative and stakeholder-focused approach. Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, or Lucidchart. Familiarity with BPMN and Agile/Scrum frameworks. Understanding of business architecture concepts (e.g., capability mapping) would be an added advantage.
