About the role

You will serve as a LEAD MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Command Services Department (N1) of the Naval Oceanographic Office of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying comprehensive knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, and requirements to provide expert guidance and assistance to Management Support Specialists and secretaries across the Command. Experience navigating personnel management regulations to execute and advise on recruitment, career ladder promotions, position management, and classification while initiating and coordinating formal requests for personnel action. Experience advising management on the development of Crediting Plans and interview questions specifically for Merit Promotion Panels. Experience providing direct assistance to resolve complex personnel, pay, and leave-related issues. Experience implementing policies regarding eligibility, performance management, and incentive awards to ensure organizational compliance. Experience communicating complex, factual information both orally and in writing to represent the interests of Management Support Specialists and resolve systemic problems.
