Requirements

• Education
• Bachelors in Nursing degree (BSN) required.
• Master of Nursing degree (MSN) preferred.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC ®) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience in specialty required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education or a related field preferred.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Working knowledge of Title XXII and The Joint Commission regulations.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in educational program design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrate ability to mentor, coach, and support professional development of nursing staff.
• Strong analytical skills to assess learning outcomes and drive improvements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Learning Management Systems (i.e. HealthStream®), and other educational tools.

• This position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater.
• Salary Range:
• $93.91 - $122.63 USD Hour
• Medium Work - Requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting. - (Physical Requirements-United States of America)

This includes developing orientations, continuing education initiatives, and competency assessments that align with clinical and organizational goals. This role also involves providing mentorship and support to clinical staff and facilitating their career development through ongoing professional growth opportunities. The NPD Specialist continually promotes quality improvement initiatives, integrating them into educational offerings to support safe, high-quality patient care. The specific focus areas of the NPD Specialist may vary depending on the area to which they are assigned, such as a general role or a role within areas like critical care, telemetry, or other clinical specialties.
