Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Benoi Region. This full-time position is crucial in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of construction infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful delivery. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing costs, negotiating contracts, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth and project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Negotiating and managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Measuring and valuing work completed, and processing payment applications
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing cost control measures
• Providing regular progress reports and financial updates to project managers and clients
• Collaborating with the construction team to optimize cost and efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of construction projects
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bill of quantities (BQ), specifications, and contract conditions.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the broader project team
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards
• Working Location: Benoi area
• Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm (Mon to Fri)
