Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and curative medical services under the supervision of the Doctor and Head Nurse
• Monitor and oversee the overall health of the residents, while participating in and supervising medical and nursing care routines
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of Nursing Aides and Health Attendants
• Assist in managing emergency situations within the Home
• The Staff Nurse will report to the Head (Nursing and Therapy)
• Work Location
• The Welfare Homes provide care for destitute persons, and the work location will be either Bukit Batok, Admiralty Street, or Buangkok Green.
• Acacia Home is a seven-storey facility with a capacity of 250 beds, catering male destitute persons. The workplace is located at Admiralty Street.
• Bukit Batok Home for the Aged is a three-storey facility with a capacity of 195 beds, catering male and female destitute persons. The workplace is located at Bukit Batok.
• Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village is a seven-storey facility with a capacity of 190 beds, catering male destitute persons. The workplace is located at Buangkok Green.
• Thuja Home at Pelangi Village is a four-storey facility with a capacity of 239 beds, catering to female destitute persons. The workplace is located at Buangkok Green.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree, Professional Degree in Nursing, or an equivalent qualification
• Candidate must be a State Registered Nurse with a valid certification issued by the Singapore Nursing Board
