Machine Operator - B Shift (Dallas)

• JOB DESCRIPTION
• POSITION SUMMARY: Operator Role - Full-Time - Dallas, TX
• These positions start at $17.70 or $18.45/HR with a shift differential for 2nd shift & 3rd shift.
• Hours : 2:45 pm until 11:30 or until finish , Monday thru Friday with some weekends
• This position is responsible for operating machinery including ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to the following)
• Required to operate touch illustrated operating panel, safety switches.
• Small mechanical adjustments.
• Use handheld scanner.
• Visually inspect products for any deficiencies.
• Required to set up and tear down area at the beginning and end of processing.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• May need to operate forklift, if applicable
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
• May use SAP if transferred /rotated.
• Proficiency in reading and writing ; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
• Computer skills (if applicable).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to solve simple math.
• Lock out Training is required.
• Must be willing and able to become Forklift Certified (if applicable).
• Must be willing and able to take and pass various tests regarding safety and food safety practices.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be willing and able to perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be willing and able to lift and carry 5-35lbs continuously, and hold 35 lbs. - 77lbs occasionally
• Must be willing and able to push and pull rack on rail system ranging from 65lbs up to 1600lbs.
• Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift with arms above shoulder level up to 77lbs with assistance
• Must be willing and able to perform repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms, and hands with up to 50 repetitions per minute.
• Must be willing and able to visually inspect product.
• Must be willing and able to work with different spices and meats. (Pork, Chicken & Beef)
• Must be willing and able to work in cold and damp environments (22-40°F temperatures) for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be willing and able to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be willing and able to bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
• Must be willing and able to work with both hands and arms simultaneously throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to use hands, fingers, and wrists to grasp, pull, and flex.
• Must be willing and able to climb step ladders and/or stairs.
