Aquaculture System Specialist (Contract Non-Staff)

Responsibilities

• Daily care and husbandry of aquatic animals
• Conduct routine water quality testing and monitor fish/shrimp health, behaviour, feeding response, growth and system parameters.
• Assist in set-up and preparation of experiment trials.
• Participate in experimental trials of aquatic animals, not limited to
• Feeding
• Hatchery and Larviculture
• Husbandry
• Data collection
• Data analysis
• Report
• Maintenance of the aquaculture system.
• Assist with inventory and stock control of laboratory consumables, equipment, and chemicals.
• Support SOP updates, reporting, audits, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Marine Science, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Food Science, Aquaculture, or a related field.
• Possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a keen interest in aquaculture, marine science, or fish farming.
• Demonstrates adaptability in performing duties across office and aquaculture farm environments.
• Willing to travel to offsite when required to support operational needs.
