About the role

Job Summary Applied Value Group is seeking a highly motivated Management Consultant or Senior Management Consultant with expertise in Supply Chain & Procurement to join our global consulting team. The ideal candidate brings a strong consulting background, analytical rigor, and deep understanding of global sourcing and supplier management, particularly within the China manufacturing ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior client stakeholders on strategic and operational transformation initiatives across North America, Europe, and Asia. This position requires fluency in both English and Chinese and willingness to travel internationally to support client engagements. Key Responsibilities Lead and support client engagements focused on strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and operational improvement initiatives. Analyze procurement spend, supplier performance, total cost structures, and supply chain risks to identify value creation opportunities. Conduct supplier benchmarking, sourcing assessments, RFx processes, and supplier negotiations. Advise global clients on navigating China's manufacturing and supplier landscape, including supplier selection, localization strategies, and risk mitigation. Develop actionable recommendations to improve supply chain resilience, working capital, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to implement procurement best practices and sustainable operating models. Build client-ready analyses, executive presentations, and implementation roadmaps using data-driven insights. Support business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations. Stay informed on global trade dynamics, tariffs, geopolitical developments, and market trends impacting supply chains and procurement strategies. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related fields. 2+ years of experience in management consulting, procurement consulting, supply chain strategy, or operations consulting, preferably with a top-tier consulting firm or relevant industry experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in cost modeling, supplier assessment, procurement optimization, and data analysis. Deep understanding of China's supplier ecosystem, global sourcing strategies, and supply chain risk management. Experience supporting supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and procurement transformation programs. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior executives and cross-functional teams. Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken). Willingness to travel extensively across China, the USA, and Europe.
