About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the team and support the analysis of complex operational data across fraud detection, carrier compliance, and identity verification workflows. You will help define business requirements, build reporting and automation solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement across trust and safety programs that protect Amazon and our transportation partners. Key job responsibilities Extract, analyze, and interpret datasets using SQL, Python, and tools such as Redshift, Oracle, or Hadoop/Hive to generate actionable insights across fraud detection and compliance workflows. Perform root cause analysis, variance analysis, and pattern identification with guidance from senior analysts. Apply data transformations and statistical techniques to support diagnostic analysis. Support the design and maintenance of automated reporting systems, dashboards, and KPI visuals to track fraud detection rates, investigation outcomes, and compliance metrics. Validate data quality and help maintain data integrity across workflows. Solve defined business problems using structured analytical approaches. Escalate ambiguous issues while proposing initial solutions. Support analysis for business cases, detection model evaluations, and strategic initiatives that contribute to measurable business impact. Communicate findings clearly to immediate team and stakeholders, translating results into formats accessible to technical and non-technical audiences. Proactively communicate project status, risks, and roadblocks. Scope and deliver analytical projects within defined timelines. Partner with Product, Engineering, Science, and Operations teams to support detection automation and data quality efforts. Contribute to business requirements reviews, documentation, and process improvements. Build repeatable, scalable solutions for recurring analytical needs.
