About the role

This position is in the Office of Audits (AUD) which is part of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). AUD has the responsibility for planning, conducting, supervising, and coordinating audits and evaluations of key programs located domestically and overseas. Projects can be performed to determine compliance with applicable laws or economy and efficiency and/or achievement of programs. All applicants MUST meet all of the basic qualification requirements described below for this position: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in leading and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams responsible for obtaining, analyzing, and summarizing data. This includes both internal coordination, as well as external coordination with other agencies. Experience in effective written communications through clear, concise, and accurate reporting appropriate for the type of audience that would use the report, as well as presenting results to senior officials. Experience in providing leadership, management, guidance, and feedback to subordinate staff or team members that contribute to the successful completion of projects, such as balancing workloads and commitments, addressing employee complaints, and identifying employee professional needs, such as training, development, and work-life balance. In addition, applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities: Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others. Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances. Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations. Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view.
