Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and related security infrastructure
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures in accordance with DoD standards
- Conduct network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization
- Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Five (5) years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
- Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls directly and via Panorama.
- Understanding of Palo Alto features such as App-ID, User-ID, URL filtering, GlobalProtect VPN, and threat prevention.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
- Familiarity with DoD security and compliance frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, environment.
- The projected salary range for this position is $150,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
