Your part in St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital Allied Health at St Andrew's is a consolidated and established service, bringing together our Allied Health teams into one clinical service supporting inpatient, ambulatory and outpatient programs. Our team of Allied Health professionals assist patients through a variety of admitted programs and outpatient services to achieve the best possible outcomes in their rehabilitation and recovery. Our multidisciplinary team includes Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and Dietitians, all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of Allied Health services across a range of rehabilitation and recovery programs. Working under the clinical supervision of Allied Health Professionals, you will assist with implementing individual and group-based therapy programs, maintaining accurate client records, providing administrative support and ensuring resources and equipment are readily available to support service delivery. Through your strong communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality care, you'll contribute to positive patient outcomes and help create a supportive experience for those accessing our services. What makes a difference for us? Supporting the delivery of Allied Health services across inpatient and outpatient programs. Assisting with the implementation of individualised and group client care plans and programs under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional. Liaising with healthcare professionals including Allied Health clinicians, GPs and nursing staff to support coordinated patient care. Identifying and reporting client circumstances that require additional clinical input or intervention. Assisting with the preparation, maintenance and organisation of equipment and resources required for service delivery. Monitoring, ordering and distributing office and clinical supplies. Providing administrative support to the Allied Health team as required. Certificate III, Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Allied Health Assistance or a related field. Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues. Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and service delivery for people with long-term health conditions, older persons and people living with disability. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads. Confidence using technology including smartphones, tablets, laptops and clinical information systems. Experience working within inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings will be highly regarded. What makes a difference for you?
