Responsibilities

  • Support vehicle launches
  • Serve as a key member of the plant Electrical Team
  • Complete required GM and supplier training and support launch activities at GM plants and wiring suppliers (travel required).
  • Implement and execute the Launch Protection Plan and Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) at wiring harness suppliers, including on‑site workshops and assessments.
  • Act as the plant and supplier voice in wire harness and electrical architecture reviews
  • Support virtual builds, architecture working calls, and early build readiness to assess manufacturability and repair strategies.
  • Ensure defect‑free harness delivery by collaborating with packaging teams, suppliers, and assembly plants.
  • Support electrical issues including warranty
  • Lead and support in‑plant wiring harness assessments, electrical troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
  • Document lessons learned, create actionable follow‑ups from electrical failures, and track issues to closure to support continuous improvement and GCA/OPEX initiatives.
  • Your Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with automotive electrical subsystems
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems
  • Prior manufacturing plant experience in either Electrical or Plant Floor Operations
  • Experience Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Supervisory role on plant floor, experience with managing UAW employees
  • Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements and how they impact the build process
  • This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.
  • The selected candidate will be required to travel on a regular basis (25-50%) for this role.
