We're looking for a talented and motivated .NET Developer to join our growing development team in Belgium. Design and develop scalable backend applications using .NET and C# with a focus on code quality and performance Write and optimize SQL queries, including SQL tuning and performance optimization for SQL Server and Oracle databases Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications and third-party services Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies to deliver features on schedule and within scope Implement unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code reliability and maintainability Utilize version control systems (GitHub) effectively to manage codebase and collaborate with the development team Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the .NET ecosystem **Required Skills & Experience:** Intermediate to advanced proficiency in .NET framework and C# programming Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns Intermediate to advanced SQL Server knowledge with hands-on experience in SQL tuning and optimization Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs Proficiency with version control systems, particularly GitHub Hands-on experience with LINQ and Entity Framework or similar ORM technologies Experience writing unit tests and practicing test-driven development Demonstrated experience working in Agile development environments Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative team settings **Preferred Skills & Experience:** Experience with .NET Core for modern application development Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for data integration tasks Intermediate-level Oracle database experience Familiarity with WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) services Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools VB.NET programming experience Background in the insurance industry or financial services sector Experience with microservices architecture and containerization **Soft Skills:** Fluent communication abilities in English Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Detail-oriented approach to work Collaborative mindset with a supportive demeanor Goal-oriented with strong organizational skills Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) At Inetum Belgium, we offer more than just a job; we provide an inspiring environment and opportunities for growth and development.
