About the role

You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Labor/Employee Relations) in the Total Force Manpower Division of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching applicable laws, policies, and organizational precedents to recommend to managers appropriate disciplinary or other corrective techniques involving a range of conduct and performance problems; 2) Providing guidance on employee rights to managers and employees; and 3) Discussing conflicts, disputes, and/or grievances to negotiate solutions and improve working relations with labor officials GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing labor-relations support to assigned organizations; 2) Providing advice and/or assistance on labor relations activities including labor-management partnership arrangements; 3) Advising management regarding negotiability determinations and/or participates in negotiation sessions; 4) Managing on-going bargaining unit status codes for all serviced activities; 5) Applying knowledge of concepts, principles, laws, and/or regulations of management employee and labor relations.
