Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. As a Mortgage Underwriter at Schwab Bank, you'll play a critical role in assessing mortgage and lines of credit applications with accuracy and expertise. You'll analyze applicant financials, credit history, and prepare summaries in order to make informed, balanced decisions. Your work directly impacts the lives of families and individuals looking to "own their tomorrow". We're looking for someone who can balance analytical skills with an understanding of the real-world impact of their work. What you have Required qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of mortgage origination underwriting experience, with familiarity in FNMA requirements and experience with Ability To Repay/CFPB guidance Proven track record in consumer credit analysis, underwriting, review and approval
