Job Description Our client requires a Program Associate to support their next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building communities, organising events, and learning about investing. No prior investment or business development experience is required. The Program Associate will work closely with the leadership team to support fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships, student and alumni community-building, and event execution across the organisation's regional operations.
Responsibilities
- Business Development and Fundraising Support
- Support fundraising initiatives by helping to identify, research, and engage potential donors, sponsors, corporate partners, and institutional supporters
- Assist in preparing fundraising materials, donor updates, sponsorship proposals, impact reports, presentations, and follow-up communications
- Maintain and update donor and partner databases, track outreach progress, and help ensure timely follow-ups
- Support the planning and execution of donor engagement activities, including small group meetings, investor gatherings, student showcases, and impact-sharing sessions
- Community Building
- Help grow and engage the Next Gen community, including students, alumni, mentors, investors, donors, and partners
- Support regular communication with community members through email, messaging groups, newsletters, social media, and event updates
- Build strong relationships with students and young professionals, and help create a welcoming, high-quality community experience
- Identify ways to improve engagement across student, alumni, donor, and investor networks
- Event Planning and Execution
- Assist in organising investment workshops, conferences, networking events, student programmes, donor events, overseas trips, and community gatherings
- Coordinate logistics including venue sourcing, speaker coordination, registration, event materials, invitations, travel planning, and post-event follow-up
- Attend and support events in Singapore and, from time to time, in Kuala Lumpur and China
- Ensure events are well-organised, professional, and aligned with the organisation's mission and brand
- Investment Learning and Programme Support
- Support student-facing investment education programmes and help coordinate with mentors, speakers, and industry professionals
- Assist with programme administration, student selection processes, scholarship-related activities, and impact tracking
Requirements
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of working experience are welcome to apply
- Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken, as the role involves communication with English- and Mandarin-speaking students, donors, partners, and regional stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys meeting new people
- Passionate about community building, education, youth development, and social impact
- Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable in execution
- Comfortable helping with event planning, logistics, and on-the-ground coordination
- Proactive, humble, and willing to learn
- Able to travel occasionally to Kuala Lumpur and China
- No prior business development, fundraising, or investment experience is required, but genuine curiosity about investing is valued
- Previous experience in community building or event planning
- Background in fundraising or donor engagement
- Interest in investment or finance
- Experience working in non-profit or educational organisations
- Multilingual capabilities beyond English and Mandarin
