Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial forklifts to aid in the loading/unloading of palletized and non-palletized customer orders in order to adhere to production schedules
  • Promote a safety culture in the workplace, identifying workplace safety hazards and adhering to safety management standards
  • Perform routine visual inspections and maintains upkeep of forklift equipment and work area. Ensures all safety equipment are in place before loading or unloading trailers
  • Adhere to Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations to ensure 100% compliance

  • Completion of all applicable paperwork in a time sensitive and accurate manner to meet daily fulfillment requirements
  • Creation of pick tickets with selection by selecting aged stock and continuous tracking and updating of daily shipping loading/unloading board
  • Participates with counting of inventory as required
  • Conducts analysis of the load pattern for palletized orders
  • Your Skills :
  • Forklift and Warehouse Operator experience
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite
  • Your Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college diploma is desirable
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior industrial experience, preferably in a production / warehouse facility
  • WHMIS certifications

Additional Information

As a Fixed Term Shipping & Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for the rotation of Irving's Blending and Packaging Production and Warehouse inventory and loading/unloading of delivery vehicles. Your goal will be to ensure all hazardous raw materials, damaged goods, or finished product shipments are loaded/unloaded, inspected, counted, staged, sorted, wrapped, rotated, and stored. Your success will be evident by how effectively Customer requirements and shipments are fulfilled in a timely manner to meet on time delivery schedule and commitments. This is a 6 month fixed term position.
