Work Arrangement This is an onsite position with potential CONUS and OCONUS travel. Job Overview The A&P Mechanic performs maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and related systems. Inspects aircraft components to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Troubleshoots mechanical and avionics issues, replaces or repairs defective parts, and conducts routine preventive maintenance. Works under general supervision and may mentor junior mechanics. Essential Functions Completes aircraft and engine maintenance as required Follows established and normal aviation safety procedures and processes Maintains complete and accurate maintenance records Conducts scheduled inspections and completes follow-up as required Inspects engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, brakes, valves, pumps, air conditioning systems and other aircraft related systems Completes necessary maintenance and repairs (replacements) on the aircraft, its subsystems, and components Repairs sheet metal or composite surfaces and assemblies Checks for and corrects corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail and other sub-assemblies IAW with applicable instructions and directives Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all AEVEX Aerospace Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external) Perform other duties as assigned.
