About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer- Data Services to lead the solutioning, design, development, implementation, and support of scalable data solutions. This role supports enterprise platforms, customer onboarding, business operations, and strategic technology initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of ETL jobs based on project requirements, client onboarding needs, and business specifications.
  • Provide technical direction for scalable data integration solutions that support onboarding, transformation, validation, replication, reconciliation, and downstream consumption.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into reliable, maintainable, and production-ready data service solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Talend jobs, reusable Talend components, mappings, and job frameworks to improve consistency, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Lead SQL optimization and ETL performance tuning efforts to reduce processing times, improve job efficiency, strengthen data quality, and increase operational reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership for data replication and synchronization between mainframe systems and distributed databases, ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and auditability.
  • Manage technical execution by coordinating deliverables, tracking dependencies, identifying risks, resolving roadblocks, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, peer programming, requirement analysis, testing strategy, and release readiness activities to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with business, onboarding, product, engineering, QA, operations, and leadership teams to clarify requirements, resolve data questions, and support successful delivery of data services initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes, automating manual tasks, improving reusable frameworks, modernizing data services, and increasing scalability across distributed systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, data integration, and production data services in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with ETL tools such as Talend and TCVision, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of ETL workflows.
  • Proven experience leading the solutioning, design, and implementation of scalable data integration solutions for onboarding, transformation, validation, replication, and downstream consumption.
  • Extensive SQL development, data analysis, data validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization experience using PostgreSQL or similar relational/distributed databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data processing, automation, scripting, or operational support.
  • Knowledge of AWS data services such as S3, Athena, DMS, EC2, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jira, Nexus, automated build/deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience standardizing ETL frameworks, improving reusable components, automating manual processes, and modernizing enterprise data services.
