Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of ETL / data pipelines (from source files through staging layers into the DWH), ensuring data correctness and efficiency.
  • Architect and evolve semantic models / reusable datasets: define dimensions, hierarchies, and KPI definitions that align with business needs.
  • Build, review, and optimize complex SQL-based transformations and views that feed into dashboards and reports.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain all aspects of Power BI dashboards: DAX measures, visuals and UXUI design, Power Query (M), security through RLS, OLS, and access rights, report publication and refresh.
  • Lead and manage complete BI projects with Corporate teams from Business requirement to delivery thus including : requirements gathering, scoping, estimating work and timeline, designing specs, developing, validating with business stakeholders, deploying, and monitoring in production.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks (in SQL queries or the data model) and optimize query speed, resource usage, and refresh times to improve user experience.
  • Maintain and initiate documentation of data schema, data lineage, dashboards, and datasets; QA and perform tests / validation to ensure data integrity.
  • Mentor junior analysts; raise and enforce standards and best practices in SQL, data modelling, and BI development.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years in analytics / BI roles with strong exposure to the Microsoft Power BI Suite.
  • Deep hands-on experience in SQL : complex joins, aggregations, window functions, subqueries, optimizations.
  • Solid experience with Power BI: semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query (M), report/dashboard design, RLS, publishing.
  • Understanding of data warehousing / ETL architecture (ODS / staging / fact & dimension layers).
  • Demonstrated ability to work on end-to-end projects: gathering requirements, specifying, implementing, testing, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to engage with both technical and non-technical international audiences.
  • Proven problem solving and performance tuning skills: recognizing bottlenecks, refactoring models or queries as needed.
  • Certifications : Mandatory: PL-300 (Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate)
  • Preferred: PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant or PL-600: Power Platform Solution

Requirements

  • Experience in cloud analytics environments (Azure preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools enhancing BI model maintenance (Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, ALM / version control for BI assets).
