About the role

The Assistant, Office Services provides day-to-day operational support to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. This role supports administrative tasks, coordinates office services and vendors, assists with supplies and facilities needs, and offers general support to the Coordinator, Office Services, as well as employees and visitors. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Daily pick up of mail and packages from reception(ist)
  • Sort all incoming mail for distribution
  • Oversee outgoing mail for USPS, Federal Express, UPS, and other various overnight delivery services
  • Label, weigh, and post all freight to other Major League Baseball teams
  • Support the Coordinator, Office Services with mail to national and international destinations
  • Replenish monies for postage machine and maintain monthly accounting postage report
  • Process all office supply requests
  • Coordinate the purchase of letterhead stationery, envelopes, and other business forms and office supplies
  • Maintain organization in mailroom
  • Maintain and stock kitchen with supplies daily
  • Monthly Costco trips for kitchen supplies
  • Pick up all supplies on an emergency basis
  • Meet with various vendors for office supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must be available to work onsite in West Sacramento, CA through September 2026
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of experience in a mailroom
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a verifiable safe driving record
  • Willing and able to frequently move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Willing and able to occasionally move about to access various areas of the stadium and remain standing for extended periods of time
  • Working knowledge of USPS postal rules and regulations
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills in Email, Word and Excel
