About the role

At Suncor, the Specialist Production Engineer position plays a critical role in protecting people, the environment, and asset performance across our In Situ operations. Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA
  • 10+ years of oil and gas industry experience, including thermal drilling, completions, production, and operations, with strong well integrity experience preferred
  • Broad interest and knowledge in well integrity, including wellbore design and construction, material science, drilling and completions, subsurface engineering, and production operations
  • Cased hole - well integrity logging expertise preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and accountability skills, with the ability to clearly engage stakeholders across varying levels of technical knowledge and seniority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analytics and management systems related to well integrity, combined with a continuous improvement mindset and curiosity to deepen technical understanding
