[What the role is] Purpose of Job The mission of SFA is to ensure and secure a supply of safe food for Singapore. The officer will be part of a dynamic team in the Food Export & Fisheries Management Department of the Food Supply Operations Division to facilitate the export of food, animal feed and live food animal to international markets through provision of export certificates/documents, while upholding food safety standards and regulatory integrity. [What you will be working on] Scope / Duties: - Support Singapore's food security and trade objectives by processing export certificates/documents to facilitate the export of food products - Engage industry stakeholders and provide guidance and advice to exporters/manufacturers on requirements for export of food products - Review and streamline export certification processes - Develop and support initiatives that enhance Singapore's food export capabilities and industry capabilities and awareness - Facilitate and co-ordinate foreign competent authorities' audit inspections of local food exporting establishments - Perform audit or inspections of establishments which export food and live food producing animals - Prepare management reports and review papers to support decision-making [What we are looking for] Qualifications/ Experience/ Skillsets: - A University Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or Science-related discipline - Good written and oral communication skills - Good IT knowledge and data analytical ability - Able to work effectively as a team - Able to engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - Knowledge of, or experience in digitalisation and the application of technology to improve work processes will be an advantage Work Location: SFA HQ at JEM Office Tower 52 Jurong Gateway Road (S)608550
