About the role

OneDigital provides benefits administration and call center support for a Dedicated Client. In this role, the Health Insurance Specialist provides the day to day oversight and administration of the benefit health plans, including Medical, Life Insurance and LTD. This role is a dedicated resource to a single Client and follows the Client's service hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Most work is performed over the phone, supporting the client, however research and resolutions to problems may require interaction with multiple systems and vendors. The Health Insurance Specialist may be required to assist in designing and documenting benefits administration processes and revising existing documentation when necessary. It will be critical for the Health Insurance Specialist position to create flexible and collaborative relationships with internal team members, carriers, clients, etc. in order to meet the position objective. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate benefit enrollments, terminations and changes as needed for a Dedicated Client Work with insurance carriers, HRIS software partners, and client team members to resolve and address health insurance related matters Work with client reports in excel to determine eligible persons and perform mail merge emails to send notifications to eligible employees and employers through Office Outlook and MailChimp web portal Build and distribute health insurance enrollment information materials for new plan participants via postal service Record and track number of eligibility notifications sent each week in a designated tracking excel file Maintain familiarity with all health plans offered including plan design, premium structure, etc. Participate in the review of plan documents as needed Troubleshoot benefit administration issues with relevant parties to assist with resolution Manage and handle incoming calls from employer contacts and their employees to provide prompt response to phone calls and e-mails within 4 business hours of receipt (alternate standards will be evaluated during peak seasons) Track all communications and activities in OneDigital System of Record daily and provide reporting to the client to communicate activity of the services above as needed Operate in compliance with HIPAA Maintain basic knowledge of the Affordable Care Act and other regulatory health plan requirements including but not limited to COBRA and HIPAA. Maintain consistent office hours of 8:30-5:00 to ensure prompt receipt of and/or response of all incoming phone calls and e-mails. Adhere to client's holiday working schedule Coordinate with other team members on vacation and other personal days off or time away from the office to ensure adequate staffing. Communicate clearly and thoroughly with OneDigital team members Assist with special projects, research, and administrative tasks as provided by Senior and Lead Health Insurance Specialists Perform other projects and duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: An inquisitive nature, always pressing to know more and understand more about the client and their needs Technology savvy, having a curiosity and propensity to learn more about computers, software and other tools that make business more effective and productive Strong mathematical and analytical skills enabling one to gather data and present it in a clear and understandable method to the receiving audience An excellent communicator (listens, speaks, and writes well) Highly organized and process driven; is able to manager a multitude of requests, details, and follow-ups (including paperwork) Can model and exemplify the OneGeorgia Fundamentals Education, Training and Experience: At least 2 years of experience related to our industry, including insurance, carriers, benefits, human resources, broker/agent, Technology field, data processor, electronic software applications. High school diploma, minimally. College degree and any other professionally-related designations are preferred. Benefits Administration experience preferred The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $25 to $28 per hour. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus
