About the role

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of design and estimating criteria, building codes, and safety regulations; 2) Understanding of architectural, mechanical, civil and electrical engineering technology with an emphasis on electrical disciplines; 3) Understanding of computers and application software such as spreadsheets, word processors, databases, graphics, and slide presentations; 4) Understanding of software systems for the purpose of preparing specifications, cost estimates, schedules and tracking quantities; 5) Understanding of guidelines, including federal procurement law and regulations; local instructions; standard business references; economic indices; labor rates; and federal and commercial catalogs; and 6) Understanding of federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Engineering Performance Standards.
