Job DescriptionBasic PurposeMonitors and supervises 3-5 Residential Advisors and their platoons, which consist of 35-40 youth (ages 17-21) in the Sooner Job Challenge Program.Typical FunctionsMaintains accountability of all platoons at all times.Maintains discipline and security within a quasi-military atmosphere and develops team-oriented attitude in the cadet corps.Mentor and role model for cadets in the program.Second level counselor and problem solver for the cadets.Enforces program rules and policiesPlans resources and supervises training.Supervises and maintains support documentation as tasked to the Operations Department in accordance with NGB and SJC guidelines. Maintains personnel support documentation on staff personnel assigned, to include annual ratings.May have a rotating shift. The shift of this position may change due to the staffing needs of the facility.Performs additional duties as required.Level DescriptorSupervisory levelEducation and ExperienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesMilitary background preferred, but not necessary*. Be able to speak/communicate orally to a group of people; have demonstrated ability to work in a stressful environment.
