Training Specialist, Distribution Center

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, user guides, job aids, and e-learning modules, for various internal departments.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions.
• Deliver dynamic and interactive training sessions to employees at all levels, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies (e.g., in-person, virtual, blended learning).
• Facilitate workshops, group activities, and hands-on exercises to promote active learning and skill development.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certifications.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
• Stay informed about new training methodologies, technologies, and industry trends to continuously enhance program delivery.
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees following training completion.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new hires by delivering foundational training.

Requirements

• *Typically requires 3+ year(s) of related experience.
• 3 years of experience within a Distribution Center with exposure to a variety of different departments is ideal. Internals need at least 6 months of experience with McKesson to qualify
• *Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• *Experience with Power Equipment is required (Reach Truck, Walkie Rider, Order Picker). Must be able to become certified and maintain certifications.
• *Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of the team and individuals
• *Must have a positive attitude, be quality driven, organized, punctual, committed, self-motivated and have an excellent attendance record
• *Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality; self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong adherence to established procedures and safety protocols; comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Physical Demands (may include all or some of the following, some only on occasion):
• General office demands
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas when required
• Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
• Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)
• May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
• May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
