About the role
This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as Defense Threat Reduction Agency's principal representative to a supported Combatant Command (CCMD), Sub-Unified Command, Agency or Partner Nation staff. The duration Combatant Command Representative (CCR) tours will be "2 year appointment with the option to extend in 1-year increments, not to exceed 5 years" You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Providing vision and direction in leading a small high performing team in achieving results. Leading communication efforts across all forms (written, verbal, etc...) with high level officials to ensure the proper flow of critical information. Applying a broad-scoped understanding of the CBRN-Defense and Counter WMD enterprise and functions. Managing joint operations, planning, and functions of a combatant command and high-level joint staff operations. Leading a customer focus in providing analytical support, developing projects, plans and policies, subject matter expertise and advice associated with countering WMDs and mitigating CBRN threats to the supported command.; OR (EXPERIENCE MUST BE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED IN YOUR RESUME) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
