Responsibilities

  • Performing basic patient care functions which contribute to the implementation of the multidisciplinary care plan
  • Assisting with patient nutritional needs; contributing to the patient information collection/documentation process

  • Demonstrated independence, a positive attitude and the willingness to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to facilitate unit functioning and smooth patient care flow
  • Ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity and efficiency
  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a courteous manner
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards

Union: CUPE New or Replacement: Replacement Site: Toronto General Hospital Department: Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) Reports to: Manager Wage Range: $28.88 - $29.79 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements) Hours: Up to 24 Hours per Week Shifts: Days/Evenings/Alternate Weekends Status: Permanent Part-Time Closing Date: June 25, 2026 Position Summary The Team Aide participates in indirect patient care activities in order to carry out the multidisciplinary care plan. The scope of activities are directed and assigned by the RN, to support the provision of excellent patient care.
