Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time .
  • The ability to manually lift at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • The ability to execute both fine and gross motor hand movements.
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures ( very hot to very cold).

The base hourly rate for this position is $24.47.Johns Manville - Plattsburgh, NYProduction OperatorCompany OverviewY ou will perform tasks such as :O perating a forklift once certified (certification is conducted once hired) ;P erfor ming quality tests according to visual acceptance standards;A ssist in changeovers of the machine from one product line to another;P erform routine preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, safety inspections, lubricating and testing;A djust machine settings to ensure top quality product is being producedAll employees are expected to be team players and help others as needed .
