At Kyndryl we are looking for a Data Center Architect/engineer who will be working in the Data Center teams, supporting the New Data Center project, with strong experience designing new data centers or DC halls. The role focuses on the physical network and connectivity layer and requires deep knowledge of passive infrastructure such as cabling, connectors, patch panels, ODFs, cable trays, and rack layouts. No hands‑on installation is expected, but field‑based understanding is essential. Experience with cabling work inside data center rooms is a strong advantage. A high‑level understanding of power and cooling is beneficial. The role provides design and advisory support, coordination will be managed by customer. Requirements

  • Technical Skills
  • Experience designing new data centers or DC halls/rooms
  • Strong knowledge of physical network & connectivity architecture
  • Deep understanding of passive infrastructure (cables, connectors, patch panels, ODFs)
  • Knowledge of cable trays, containment, and routing within DC environments
  • Ability to create and interpret technical designs, floorplans, and rack elevations
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards (fiber & copper)
  • Strong plus: hands-on experience with cabling work inside DC halls
  • Plus: high-level knowledge of DC power and cooling setup
  • Project & Collaboration Skills
  • Ability to lead design activities and coordinate with technical stakeholders
  • Clear communication and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate requirements into structured design recommendations
  • Comfortable advising teams without performing hands-on installation work
