About the role
As a Senior Manager within the risk function supporting the AUSPAC Modernisation Program, you will play a critical role in enabling transformation across QBE AUSPAC. This role is responsible for overseeing both delivery and delivered risk, ensuring effective risk management throughout implementation and post‑delivery. About QBE At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch. We're an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries - which means we're big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It's an exciting time. We're building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner. What if you could have a positive impact - at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you'll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind. Your New Role Develop and embed project risk management strategies across delivery and delivered risk, ensuring mitigation plans are practical, time‑bound, and actionable. Proactively monitor project risks and the effectiveness of mitigation plans and controls, maintaining accurate risk registers and providing regular, high‑quality reporting. Lead comprehensive project risk assessments in partnership with risk owners and project leaders across all project phases. Clearly articulate risk positions, assessments, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders across the program and QBE AUSPAC business units. Oversee risk trends and emerging issues, transforming insights into concise, actionable reporting for senior management and governance forums. Collaborate closely with project and business teams to promote strong risk awareness and provide guidance on effective risk management practices and tools. About You A strong transformation mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in complex, high‑change environments. Proven experience managing transformation risk across large‑scale, business‑led change programs, covering both delivery and delivered risk. Demonstrated experience within the insurance or broader financial services industry, with a sound understanding of operating in regulated environments. The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining focused, structured, and outcome‑driven. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex matters clearly and succinctly at senior levels. A tertiary qualification in economics, accounting, business, or a related discipline (formal risk qualifications are not essential).
