Joe Hewa WHAT DEPARTMENT IS THIS IN? 5420 Non Work Study, Career Center WHEN DOES THIS POSITION BEGIN (AND END, IF APPLICABLE? 2026-05-08 - JOB PURPOSE Core Categories of Responsibility 1. Direct Tool Development & Prototyping (Vibe Coding) Build Workflow MVPs: Design and build initial iterations of the Student Logbook application to capture and track student internship data efficiently. Optimize Partner Intake: Build an intake workflow for community partners, including standard web forms and downloadable prompt files optimized for external corporate AI models. Ecosystem Integration: Collaborate with the CIO and IT teams to ensure all custom tools live securely within the official Lewis & Clark Google enterprise sandbox ecosystem. 2. Competition Design & Operations Launch & Market: Launch a campus-wide development competition, intentionally encouraging participation from both non-technical designers and technical coders. Coordinate Evaluation: Manage incoming entries and coordinate a judging panel centered around distinct prize tracks (e.g., Best User Interface, Most Technically Savvy, Most Creative ). Synthesize "Mash-Ups": Analyze winning competition entries and merge their best user-experience elements into the final enterprise rollout. 3. uConnect Platform & Core IT Support uConnect Administration: Take ownership of the further development, backend curation, and optimization of the Career Center's uConnect platform. Data Organization Priorities: Clean, audit, and restructure historical spreadsheet data across departments to build clear, repeatable data-ingestion pipelines. Ad-Hoc Technical Support: Troubleshoot computer science and IT-related tasks as they arise to support the broader operational priorities of the Career Center. User Testing: Lead user-testing groups with students and staff to iteratively improve tool interfaces, platform accessibility, and overall usability Pay Rate: $16.80 /hr
