Job title: Junior Fixed Asset accountant Grade: G9 Location: Warsaw office Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility: Fixed asset junior accountant reports to European Manager of Account Payable and Fixed Asset and is responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, processing additions and disposals, assisting with monthend close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring timely and accurate recording of asset additions, transfers, disposals, and retirements. Process capitalization of assets according to company policy and accounting standards. Assist with calculation and posting of monthly depreciation and amortization. Ensure proper classification of assets (e.g., machinery, IT equipment, furniture, leasehold improvements). Support monthly close activities related to fixed assets, including journal entries, reconciliations, and depreciation postings. Prepare schedules and analysis for balance sheet accounts related to fixed assets and accumulated depreciation. Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders, auditors, and management.
