The role is responsible for leading the Company's expense management function, ensuring strong cost governance, transparency, and value-for-money across all spend categories. The incumbent drives expense planning, monitoring, analytics, and controls to support management decision making, financial performance, and regulatory compliance, while fostering a disciplined and collaborative cost culture across the organization. Expense Governance & Control Develop and implement key controls in expense cycle. Develop good operational procedures for expense management. Provide oversight of expense management, in ensuring Company's expenses are managed within expectations of targets set. Ensure expense cycles are managed within SLA provided to stakeholders. Lead and oversee the end‑to‑end expense management framework, including policies, procedures, approval thresholds, and controls, to ensure expenses are well‑governed, compliant, and auditable . Budgeting, Forecasting and Monitoring Drive annual expense budgeting, periodic forecasting, and monthly monitoring, providing clear visibility of spend against targets and early identification of risks and variances. Act as a finance business partner to divisions, providing guidance on expense planning, cost management, and financial implications of initiatives and projects. Expense Analytics & Management Reporting Develop expense analytics, providing the basis for key management decisions. Develop expense information system to ensure data required are captured effectively for analytics developed. Develop and enhance expense analytics, dashboards, and management reports to support informed decision‑making by senior management and EXCO Expense Optimisation Initiatives Partner with business units to identify and execute cost optimisation opportunities, ensuring sustainable savings without compromising business effectiveness or control standards. People Management and development Provide leadership to team under care and demonstrate the character to bring the best out of resources. Impose good culture and working environment, by promoting teamwork and collaboration. Participate strongly in development of staff, in terms of technical knowledge, ethics and communication Risk Management & procedures Help establish and/or maintain risk management practices within the Finance Operations, in line with the various risk and compliance guidelines as released by the corresponding section in the Company. Actively manage processes to ensure adherence with regulatory guidelines. Other ad-hoc activities deemed necessary to support Finance division. As and when required, the candidate may be required to provide support to other functions within the Finance division. Such requests would be initially assessed for its appropriateness by the management and would be of a nature such that no unreasonable demands are made of the candidate, and with expectations that is reasonable given the circumstances. Qualification and Experience : Minimum degree level, preferably in Accounting & Finance or Economics, with minimum results of Second Class Upper, CGPA of 3.0 or their equivalent. The candidate would also hold professional qualification from ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, MICPA or their equivalent. 10 years experience in finance & accounting including senior manager level, with demonstrated ability to lead different work streams. Priority will be given to candidates who has experience at the leadership level in Finance Operations, and who are fluent with Takaful/Insurance guidelines.
