DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all training activities are conducted in alignment with company safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Own the strategy, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training and workforce development programs for the Machine Department, ensuring a sustainable pipeline of skilled machinists across CNC, manual machining, grinding, and tool and die disciplines. Lead the development of structured technical training frameworks, including department‑specific onboarding, on‑the‑job training, apprenticeship, and early‑career development, ensuring consistency, accountability, and measurable skill progression. Serve as a mentor, coach, and technical development partner to machinists, trainers, supervisors, and managers by guiding skill development, problem‑solving, and the practical use of data to improve shop performance. Partner with department leadership to identify skill gaps, assess workforce capability and rework trends, and create targeted training and cross‑training strategies that improve flexibility, quality, reliability, and operational resilience. Establish and maintain effective training governance, including standardized methods, curricula, competency models, training aids, documentation (including training slips), and compliance records to ensure accuracy, continuity, and effectiveness. Lead training analytics and reporting by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting training data, performance trends, and rework indicators to evaluate program effectiveness and drive data‑based improvement decisions.
