About the role

Our Independent Living Units at Hammondville, NSW is seeking a permanent part-time (3 days per week) Transport Driver to provide driving services to our residents to take them to appointments, shopping and outings. Key Responsibilities include Providing Driving transport to our residents to attend various locations and events Fostering a spirit of harmony and friendship and maintaining a good relationship with our residents Assisting residents with transfers if required while following safe work practices Maintaining records of transport journeys and documenting trips Ensuring maintenance of vehicle About Y ou Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. A current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C-Car licence) and safe driving record (LR licence desirable). Prepared to undertake the Driver Assessment Test if required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of empathy, compassion, and patience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated knowledge of the Health and/or Aged Care Sectors, with experience in transporting frail, aged and / or vulnerable people desirable but not essential Senior First Aid Certificate desirable
