About the role
Overall Job Objectives Assist Tender manager with project tender and to assistProject manager to establish the quantity, unit rate, cost. Manage theprocurement, evaluation, claim, payment process and prepare the necessary datafor cost reporting. Core Responsibilities 1. Participate in the tendering process from start tofinish, including selecting bidders, preparing tender documents, submittingtenders, and awarding contracts. 2. Take-off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ)along with drawings and specifications for soliciting quotations. 3. Source subcontractors and suppliers, measure quantities,and estimate costs for both pre-contract and post-contract phases. 4. Negotiate, administer, and monitor pre and posttender/contract activities. 5. Price and forecast the costs of various materials neededfor the project. 6. Follow up on the preparation of invoices, purchaseorders, work orders, subcontract agreements, and letters of award tosubcontractors and suppliers. 7. Monitor and assess work progress, evaluate subcontractorpayment claims, and manage variation order claims before certification. 8. Ensure timely follow-up on monthly progress claims. 9. Attend site, client, and consultant meetings as required. 10. Other ad hoc duties as assigned. Job Specifications 1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Buildingor equivalent from a recognized University. 2. Able to read/understand/execute work based onconstruction drawings 3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaborationskills 4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Job Specifications 1. Good technical knowledge - Measurement, cost estimating,& construction technology 2. Able to work both independently and as a team member.
