Logistics Assistant

About the role

Warehouse & Store Operations - Support cycle counts, stock takes, and inventory audits - Report stock discrepancies, damages, and shortages promptly Logistics Support - Assist in loading and unloading of goods - Coordinate with drivers, couriers, and logistics providers for deliveries and collections - Support shipping and receiving activities Housekeeping & Safety - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of store/warehouse areas - Follow workplace safety procedures and proper material handling practices - Ensure compliance with company policies, quality procedures, and safety standards Requirements & Qualifications Education / Experience - Minimum secondary school education or equivalent - 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, store, logistics, or inventory roles preferred - Fresh candidates with relevant training may be considered Skills & Competencies - Valid forklift licence (mandatory) - Possess a valid class 4 driving license is required - Basic computer skills (Excel; knowledge of inventory systems/SAP is an advantage) - Good organizational and record-keeping skills - Physically fit for lifting, moving, and handling goods - Able to work independently and as part of a team - Responsible, punctual, and reliable - Attention to detail and accuracy - Knowledge of FIFO, 5S, and basic inventory management principles
