Regional Operations Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and elevate Viking Electric's regional distribution and operations network, ensuring best-in-class service, safety, and efficiency across multiple locations. This role offers the opportunity to shape operational strategy, drive performance, and make a tangible impact on business results.

• Lead all regional operations including counters, warehouses, transportation, inventory management, and material handling, ensuring high performance, scalability, and operational excellence
• Champion a strong safety culture by partnering with Safety and Compliance leadership and ensuring adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company standards
• Develop and mentor Operations Managers by hiring, coaching, and building high-performing teams; partner with local leadership and HR on workforce planning and talent development initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements, technology solutions, and best practices to enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the network
• Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to deliver a seamless customer experience while balancing cost-to-serve and profitability
• Leverage data and analytics to monitor performance, optimize staffing, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse and transportation operations
• What You Bring

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or distribution leadership within a multi-site environment
• 5+ years of people leadership experience with a strong track record of developing teams
• 3+ years of experience managing managers and leading through others
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements, implement change, and deliver measurable results
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required
• Preferred:
• Experience in wholesale distribution, electrical, or industrial supply environments
• Familiarity with sales/counter operations and customer-facing service models
• Knowledge of Viking Electric systems, processes, products, and regional markets

Regional Operations Director Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin & Eastern Wisconsin Market locations Job type: Full time Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday Salary: $130,000.00 - $190,000.00 Compensation for this position includes base salary, an annual 30% short-term incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Final base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and geographic considerations.
