Job Summary: Cleans and decontaminates surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment. Collects, receives, and sorts instruments. Job Description: - Follows manufacturer instructions and departmental procedures to ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and patient care equipment - Collaborates with interdepartmental staff to prioritize workload, meeting both daily schedules and urgent surgical needs - Locates, collects, and prepares instruments for pickup or delivery, including packaging for offsite locations as needed - Maintains and operates decontamination and sterilization equipment in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and safety standards - Monitors sterilization indicators and maintains accurate records for quality assurance and compliance
