Job Description The Business Development Manager (BDM) - UCC/Surgery is a dedicated headcount responsible for driving commercial performance of the Critical Care, Surgery and Endourology portfolios, with a strong focus on new product launches and market shaping initiatives. The BDM owns Go-To-Market planning, program development, and marketing execution, while also leading strategic account management, tender management, IMS sales performance, and distributor governance. A critical pillar of this role is market development for Surgery, Endourology, and Targeted Temperature Management, requiring strong analytical capability, stakeholder influence, and executional excellence in Vietnam's complex healthcare environment. I. Market Development and Go-To-Market Planning Lead comprehensive market mapping and opportunity assessment for UCC/Surgery portfolios, including hospital segmentation, procedure volumes, and growth potential. Define and execute Go-To-Market strategies for new launch portfolios, ensuring alignment with country and regional priorities. Identify unmet clinical needs and shape the market through therapy education, solution-based positioning, and clinical adoption pathways. Build robust business cases for channel expansion, geography expansion, and new therapy introduction. II. Marketing Execution and Stakeholder Engagement Develop product technical dossiers, tender specifications, and clinical differentiation to protect and grow portfolio access. Support tender strategy, pricing proposals, and contract negotiations in coordination with cross-functional teams. Design and execute marketing programs including workshops, symposia, trainings, and therapy awareness initiatives. Partner with distributors to drive demand generation activities and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Build and maintain trusted relationships with hospital directors, department heads, key decision makers, and government healthcare authorities. Lead reimbursement execution projects as assigned. Lead product and clinical training for distributor sales teams and key hospital stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Regional Marketing and Clinical teams to ensure strong and consistent product messaging. III. Strategic Account & Tender Management Drive IMS sales growth and execution of strategic priorities. Lead strategic account planning for key hospitals and centers of excellence within UCC/Surgery. Own tender strategy and execution, including specification setting, pricing strategy, tender defense, and post-tender follow-up. Act as a trusted partner to key decision-makers including hospital directors, department heads, and clinical champions. IV. Distributor Management Evaluate, appoint, and manage distributors to ensure optimal coverage, capability, and performance for UCC/Surgery portfolios. Lead joint business planning, review performance metrics, and drive continuous capability improvement with partners. Ensure distributor compliance with BD policies, ethical standards, tender governance, and operational excellence. Support the Strategic Segment Leader in distributor strategy, performance management, and corrective action plans. V. Reporting, Analytics, and Support to Strategic Segment Leader Track and analyze IMS sales performance, tender outcomes, launch KPIs, and market penetration. Generate insights on market trends, competitor dynamics, and pricing evolution to inform strategic decisions. Develop dashboards, business reviews, and analytical reports to support the Strategic Segment Leader. Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize portfolio strategy and resource allocation.
