Responsibilities
- Partner with the Lead Lawyer to manage high court and catastrophic injury claims (including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and fatal accident cases).
- Handle your own caseload of high-value complex injury claims , driving them from instruction to resolution.
- Engage directly with senior claims handlers at leading insurers - building strong, trusted relationships.
- Apply your analytical expertise to dissect complex medical and quantum evidence , identify key issues and shape expert strategy.
- Draft high-quality technical advice across indemnity, liability, quantum and causation .
- Conduct witness interviews, prepare statements, draft pleadings and attend conferences, mediations and Joint Settlement Meetings .
- Take an active role in mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
- Ensure case management systems are updated and compliant with LSNI regulations .
- Working Hours
- 35 hours per week
- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
- Primary location for this role is Belfast Office.
